About Ratbag

Ratbag Garage is a fashion brand that celebrates the beautiful eastern coastline of Australia and the unique wild and free attitude of the people who live here. We create clothing designs that combine a love of the surf, and vintage cars & motorcycles - a special vibe we’ve named “Salt Air & Gasoline” which has formed into our tagline AUTO x MOTO x SURF. 

Founder and owner Quentin England is a designer with over 16 years experience working in many different creative industries, including clothing manufacturing. He has always wanted to start his own fashion brand and first started visualising Ratbag in mid 2019. It was at the beginning of 2020 that he started bringing these ideas to life. 

Whilst developing his own designs he was also passionate about supporting other talented illustrators and designers both local and international. He started building up a design library which became Ratbag's incredible launch collection. 

Here at Ratbag we specialise in quality everyday wear that features incredible designs by our talented illustrators and designers. We aspire to continuously improve the quality of our products, with a special focus on sourcing sustainable fabrics and inks that will be coming in the near future. 

For us the name Ratbag embodies a cheekiness and sense of adventure. Ratbag is used as an endearing term to describe someone who is a little mischievous with a fun and carefree attitude. We hope to reach out to Ratbags from all around Australia, through sharing something new that resonates with folk of all ages that are young at heart. 

We would also like to  acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
